Sean (John Cronin) who lives in London receives news from his father (Tom Lawlor) in rural Ireland that Osobe (Togo Igawa) an enigmatic local character has recently died. This ignites in Sean a memory of a summer spent working with Osobe against the wishes of his father when he was sixteen years of age. It seems the conflicts of that summer can only be resolved or at least accepted with this unexpected news. Based on a short story by Colum McCann and adapted by Robert Quinn. Basket Full of Wallpaper a short 27 minutes drama was made in 1998.
